Liquid Velvet was a new design direction for the brand, and the one where I got to break a rule. I redesigned the label system to lead with the scent name over the product type and dropped the midline element the old labels were built around, a convention I'd always found limiting. Cleaner, bolder, more impactful.
The world around it was 1970s glamour and cocktail-hour decadence: cut crystal, gleaming brass, zebra stripe, psychedelic florals. A lavish holiday soirée overflowing with beautiful people, cocktails, and fragrance. I helped shape the fragrance and the line, then designed the packaging, the labels, and the catalog, and styled the shoot.
